RACING WITH PURPOSE
A podium finish for a cause that matters.
Team spirit, close racing and a shared commitment to helping children brought Top Yachts to the Magaluf karting circuit on Sunday, 11 October 2026. The occasion was the JoyRon Foundation’s Family Fun Day and Go Karting Charity Championship, held in support of children in need across the Balearic Islands.
For our first appearance at the event, Top Yachts brought together a team of clients and friends. By the end of an exciting day, we had secured an impressive second place overall — a result that made our debut especially memorable.
ON THE CIRCUIT
A strong start on the circuit
The championship welcomed 18 teams and more than 100 drivers, many representing Mallorca’s close-knit yachting community. The atmosphere combined genuine competition with the warmth of a family event, bringing racers, organisers, volunteers and supporters together around a local cause.
Our team began the day in excellent form, winning both the Group 2 qualifying session and the Group 2 heat. Those results gave us confidence going into the 90-minute final, where teamwork, consistency and carefully managed driver changes would prove just as important as outright speed.
FOCUS AND DETERMINATION
Ninety minutes of determined racing
Top Yachts made another strong start in the final and moved into the lead. With a competitive field behind us, every lap mattered and the racing remained close throughout the opening stages.
During the second stint, contact sent our kart into a spin, costing us the lead and valuable time. The setback could easily have unsettled the team, but everyone stayed focused. The drivers continued to push, supported one another through each changeover and steadily worked their way back into contention.
That determination was rewarded with second place overall. Reaching the podium at our first attempt was a result we were proud to share with everyone who had raced, supported and encouraged the team throughout the day.
THE RESULT THAT MATTERED MOST
More than a podium finish
The most meaningful result, however, belonged to the children supported by the JoyRon Foundation. Funds raised through the championship will contribute to the foundation’s work with children in need across the Balearics, giving every participant a reason to celebrate beyond the final standings.
The day offered a vivid reminder of what can happen when Mallorca’s yachting community comes together. Friendly rivalry on the track was matched by generosity away from it, creating an event that felt purposeful without losing its sense of fun.
For Top Yachts, the race also reflected the spirit of our first charter season in Mallorca. Talented people, close cooperation and a strong sense of camaraderie have shaped our journey on the water. Seeing those same qualities carry the team through a demanding final made the experience particularly rewarding.
COMMUNITY AND CAMARADERIE
Shared with clients and friends
Private yachting is ultimately about shared experiences, and the same was true in Magaluf. Competing alongside clients and friends made the podium finish all the more special. It was not simply a sporting result, but a day of conversation, laughter and collective effort in support of something that matters locally.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the JoyRon Foundation, E-Touch Systems, the event organisers, volunteers, fellow competitors and everyone who contributed to the fundraising effort. We left the circuit with wonderful memories, a second-place finish and the satisfaction of having played a small part in an important cause.
We are already looking forward to returning next year, sharing another memorable day with clients and friends, and supporting the valuable work of the JoyRon Foundation once again.
